Questions We Get a Lot
A squat rack typically has two upright posts and a smaller footprint, making it a solid choice for squats, presses, and basic barbell work. A power rack encloses four posts with safety catches on all sides, which gives you more movement variety and added safety when lifting without a spotter. Both styles are represented in our collection — the right choice comes down to your space and how you train.
Most freestanding racks require a footprint of roughly 4 by 4 feet at minimum, though you'll want additional clearance around the frame for safe movement and bar loading. Wall-mounted folding racks are designed specifically for tighter spaces and fold flat against the wall when not in use. Measure your ceiling height too — standard racks are sized for ceilings at 8 feet or higher.
Wall-mounted racks are designed to be mounted by the customer using standard hardware into wall studs or a solid concrete surface. Each unit ships with the components needed for the installation. We recommend confirming your wall construction before you begin and following the included instructions carefully for a secure, level mount.
We offer 30-Day Returns on our squat racks — if it doesn't fit your space or your training setup, you can return it within 30 days of delivery. Please refer to our Return Policy page for full details on the process and any applicable conditions. We want you to feel confident before and after you order.
About Our Squat Racks
A squat rack is one of the most versatile and enduring pieces of equipment you can bring into a home gym. At its core, it holds a barbell at a safe, adjustable height so you can squat, press, hinge, and pull with proper mechanics and without needing a spotter nearby. The right rack turns an ordinary room into a serious training space. When choosing one, the most important factors are the gauge and quality of the steel frame, the range of height adjustments, the weight capacity relative to where your training is headed, and the physical footprint relative to your space. Freestanding racks offer maximum stability and flexibility in placement, while wall-mounted folding designs are engineered specifically for smaller rooms where floor space matters. Either way, the frame should feel solid and permanent — because that consistency is exactly what supports a reliable training routine over the long term.
